Where can I find this part for my truck’s winch?
Okay, here is the problem. I got this winch with a parts truck that I bought. When I hook it to my battery and squeeze the trigger on the remote, nothing happens. Nothing. No click of the solenoid, nothing. This leads me to think that is’ts because of the solenoids. Is there any way that I can try to bypass the solenoids and give direct power to the winch?
If not, what is the name of the box that holds the solenoids? I found a site to get the solenoids for my winch but I’d like to replace the whole box that holds them. Thanks for any/all help
The manufacturer uses solenoids so he doesn’t have to run the thick high amp wire to the button. The solenoids are big relays. First, jump the terminals to the switch to see if it’s working. If you bypass the solenoids & the motor turns, then you need new solenoids. To an extent, the solenoids are generic; If the solenoid will handle the amperage of the motor, the brand doesn’t matter.
