Digital TV switchover problem.?
I live in Carlisle and the first phase of the digital swichover took place 24/6/09. All my TV’s retuned fine except my Goodmans GHD8015F2 tuner with hard drive. This for some reason will not tune BBC1 or 2 for NE and Cumbria but finds BBC Scotland for both. All the software is up to date and no amount of resetting / tuning auto or manual can find the english BBC channels. It was tuned to them before the switchover and all other channels OK. Obviously something to do with the box as the other TVs/ digiboxs run off the same ariel and are fine but what could the problem be. Any ideas welcome.
It sound like the first wave of the Scottish invasion of England.
Seriously, it sounds like your aerial distribution system is not balanced.
Try the Goodmans in a different room.
Try an attenuator on the input to the Goodmans – 3dB or 6dB should suffice.
